We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Vice President of Business Systems and Interoperability position that will be based in our Administration department. This position is based at our Solutions Center in Altamonte Springs, FL. This position provides the opportunity to give guidance, direction and oversight to director level staff based on participation in various executive level meetings, conferences and committees. The Vice President, Business Systems & Interoperability is the person responsible for planning, policy development, and execution of strategy for AHS-IS Business Systems and Interoperability initiatives listed below. He/she oversees teams responsible for the IT applications necessary to support business and interoperability initiatives.
Specific job duties include:
Responsible for leadership and oversight activities for above listed business functions.
Provides overall leadership and support to AHS-IS personnel at all levels within the organization, business partners and other outside organizations as necessary to effectively and successfully implement and maintain all business systems and interoperability initiatives deemed appropriate and necessary for Adventist Health System.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in healthcare in general, technology as it relates to use in healthcare and effective leadership, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies
Exemplifies the mission and vision of Adventist Health System in all work performed
Demonstrate uncompromising ethics and personal integrity
Plan, organize, and control successful completion of all initiatives, projects and other work assigned to personnel working within above listed business functions.
Working with AHS-IS Executive Team and AHS-IS CFO provide all necessary budgetary information to CFO for inclusion in budget documents presented to Sr. Leadership for approval.
Develop, implement, and adhere to all accounting internal control policies and procedures
Create or monitor all contract negotiations
Control reimbursement process including credit and collection
Support and enable Corporate Responsibility
Available outside of normal business hours for occasional support needs
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT leadership, up to at least a Director or Sr. Director level experience
Minimum of 5 years working in a healthcare environment, preferably in technical capacity supporting Revenue Cycle, Interfacing, Programming and Web.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business or Healthcare required
Master’s Degree preferred
Software:
Experience supporting vendor supplied healthcare software, specifically selecting, implementing, supporting, issue escalation, etc.
